1. Our Return Commitment
At Chefdivaondemand Store, every item is artisan-crafted from sustainably sourced solid wood. We take pride in the quality of our work. If your item arrives damaged, defective, or is not as described, we will resolve the issue promptly — at no additional cost to you.
2. Return Window
You may request a return within 30 days of the date your order is delivered. Requests submitted after this window may not be accepted, except where required by applicable law.
3. Eligible Return Conditions
To qualify for a return, your item must meet one or more of the following conditions:
- The item arrived physically damaged or broken during shipping.
- The item has a manufacturing defect or structural fault not caused by the buyer.
- The item received is materially different from what was described or pictured on the product page.
- The wrong item was shipped.
Items must be unused, unassembled (where applicable), and returned in their original packaging or comparable protective packaging.
4. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return:
- Custom-made or personalized pieces built to customer specifications.
- Items returned after the 30-day window without prior written authorization.
- Items damaged due to improper assembly, misuse, or environmental conditions (excessive moisture, direct sunlight, etc.).
- Items that show signs of use, modification, or alteration.
- Sale or clearance items marked as final sale at the time of purchase.
5. How to Initiate a Return
Follow these steps to begin the return process:
- Contact Us First: Email us at [email protected] or call +1 (530) 241-5100 with your order number and reason for return.
- Photo Documentation: Attach clear photos of the item and packaging showing the damage or issue. This is required for all damage and defect claims.
- Receive Authorization: Do not ship the item back without a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number from our team. Unauthorized returns may be refused.
- Package Securely: Pack the item carefully to prevent further damage in transit. Use the original packaging whenever possible.
- Ship the Item: We will provide a prepaid return shipping label for eligible defective/damaged items. For change-of-mind returns (where eligible), return shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility.
6. Refund Process
Once your returned item is received and inspected, we will notify you by email. If your return is approved:
- A full refund (including original shipping cost of $4.99) will be issued for damaged, defective, or incorrect items.
- Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days of approval.
- Your bank or card issuer may require additional processing time before the credit appears on your statement.
If your return is denied, you will receive a written explanation and, where possible, we will offer an alternative resolution such as a partial refund or store credit.
7. Exchanges
We do not process direct exchanges at this time. If you received a defective or incorrect item and prefer a replacement over a refund, please note this when contacting us and we will do our best to accommodate your request based on current stock availability.
8. Damaged in Shipping
All items are carefully packaged before shipment. If your order arrives with visible damage to the outer packaging, please:
- Note the damage with the carrier at the time of delivery if possible.
- Photograph the outer packaging before opening.
- Photograph the damaged item(s) inside.
- Contact us within 72 hours of delivery at [email protected].
Prompt reporting helps us file a shipping claim and resolve your case as quickly as possible.
9. Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of placement for a full refund, provided the item has not yet entered production or been dispatched. Custom orders enter production immediately and cannot be cancelled once confirmed. To request a cancellation, contact us immediately at [email protected].
10. Consumer Rights
This policy does not limit or waive any statutory rights you may have under applicable federal or state law, including California consumer protection law. Where your statutory rights provide stronger protections than this policy, those rights take precedence.
